Like all natural wood products, Yukari responds to moisture, humidity, and temperature. Proper acclimation, sealing, fastening, airflow, and seasonal maintenance are critical to long-term appearance and performance.
| • | Seal all six sides, including raw surfaces, tongue, groove, and end cuts. | | • | Acclimate material at the job site in a dry, well-ventilated area for 10 to 14 days prior to installation. | | • | Provide adequate airflow and allowances for expansion and contraction. | | • | Use stainless steel fasteners. Screws are recommended. | | • | Avoid galvanized fasteners due to potential tannin reaction, staining, or corrosion. | | • | Inspect seasonally and re-apply finish or sealer to joints, exposed ends, and faces as needed. |
