Heat. Steam. Precision. Performance.

Maximo Thermo

Maximo Thermo is modified using heat and steam only. The process changes the wood at the cellular level, helping improve stability, reduce movement, and support long-lasting performance indoors or outdoors.

Thermo products are backed by a 20-year warranty against rot and decay.

The Thermal Modification Process

Three controlled phases. No chemicals.

  1. Phase 1 — Heat & Dry

Raw timber is gently dried using steam and hot air to reduce cellular moisture content and prepare the wood for modification — completely chemical-free.

  2. Phase 2 — Thermal Treatment

Timber is heated up to 413.6°F (212°C) in a controlled steam environment, permanently altering the cellular structure by removing natural sugars and resins that feed rot, fungi and insects.

  3. Phase 3 — Cooling & Conditioning

The modified timber is systematically cooled and conditioned to stabilize its moisture level, producing a deepened, uniform colour throughout the thickness of the board.

Sustainability

Rooted in Responsibility

Maximo sources from responsibly managed woodlands and supports local communities in Brazil that depend on forests. All wood products are certified as sustainable by third-party organizations, and Maximo Thermo is modified with heat and steam only, 100% chemical-free and non-toxic.

Selective Harvesting

Only 3 to 5 aging trees are harvested from an area as large as a football field.

Stored Carbon

Boards are 100% organic, and 50% of each board's weight is trapped atmospheric carbon.

Kiln-Dried Precision

Boards are kiln-dried to regulate moisture levels for indoor and outdoor stability.

Chemical-Free Modification

Thermo uses heat and steam only. Deck tiles are likewise chemical-free.
