Kebony is a manufacturer of real wood products enhanced through a patented, environmentally friendly process developed in Norway. Sustainable softwood is treated with a bio-based liquid that permanently modifies the wood's cell walls, giving the material premium hardwood characteristics and a rich brown color.
The result is a genuine wood product, not a composite, laminate or synthetic surfacing, engineered for demanding outdoor architecture. Kebony requires no maintenance beyond normal cleaning.

Kebony's patented technology enhances sustainable softwood using a bio-based liquid. Rather than a sequential treatment, two major actions take place simultaneously inside the wood cells.
Reacting with OH-groups
The bio-based liquid reacts with hydroxyl groups in the wood, significantly reducing water sensitivity and increasing durability.
Curing into a polymer
The liquid cures inside the wood cells, forming a polymer that reinforces structure and gives the wood its rich brown color.
